International Exhibition & Meeting of Microlight at Blois 2010
With its presence in France, DUC Hélices was present at Blois Exhibition held from 3 to 5 September 2010. The new Ventilo spinner was introduced. This development allows to improved engine cooling in flight. For more information, see the item in the online catalog
ISO 9001:2008 Certification of the Quality Management System Anxious to continuous improvement of product quality and customer satisfaction, DUC Hélices undertook a quality process that has accomplished in February 2010 the first certification.
Indeed, DUC Hélices has been certified by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance according the Quality Management ISO 9001:2008 standard for all these activities of design and manufacture of composite propellers and accessories.
This helped consolidate his professionalism and thoroughness in his work.
Developed in partnership with ONERA (French Aerospace Lab), DUC Hélices now markets the new FLAIR silent propeller, adapted to tow aircrafts motorized at 180cv.
Ongoing certification, the propeller is already mounted on many tow aircrafts (Dyn’Aero MCR 180, Robin DR 400 & ACBA Midour) and gives excellent performance in noise but also aerodynamic.
Flight potential of the DUC propellers: Unlimited !
The DUC propellers have an unlimited flight potential in normal operation.
To keep the unlimited potential, DUC Hélices has defined a TBO (Time Between Overhaul) for a propeller depending on its engine. This TBO is indicated in its instruction manual. In all cases, it may not exceed 5 years. When more intensive use (flight school, ...), this can be doubled maintaining control at least every 2 years.
To achieve this, we propose to return the propeller to make a full control and ensure its proper use.
If no critical anomaly is detected, it is again credited with the same TBO and is returned to you.
As a reminder, there is no imperative logbook. But know that this control is offered as a service to our customers for continuing airworthiness and there is no obligation.
In fact, security will not be affected.
Turbo Spinner: Improved engine cooling
The DUC spinner in Turbo version is equipped with deflectors around the blade foot to improve the circulation of the airflow to the engine. For high temperatures, this spinner allows you to maintain excellent cooling of your engine.
For engines JABIRU 2200 & 3300, the use of Turbo Spinner is necessary to avoid an excessive rise in temperature of the engine.
Available in Ø210 et Ø250mm , in two-blade or three-blade, right rotation.
New DUC adaptor spacer: Lighter!
The new DUC adaptor spacer have been optimized to reduce weight while retaining all their strength. For example, for a 30mm 912H adaptor spacer used for Rotax engine, over 150 grams were removed to reach a mass of only 535 grams. Of course, the weight gained is even important for the thicker adaptors.
These spacers adapt the assembly of the propeller on your engine and the offset of the propeller to allow a good fit for your spinner with your bonnet. The material is black anodized aluminum.
